Warehouses combine people, vehicles, inventory, deliveries, shift changes, and long operating hours. Security planning should follow those workflows.
Access points
List every employee, visitor, contractor, truck, and after-hours entrance. Decide what each post must verify, record, or escalate.
Yard and dock interfaces
Clarify whether officers observe trailer yards, dock doors, parking, seals, delivery lanes, or other areas - and what they are authorized to do if something looks wrong.
Shift changes
Large workforce transitions can create the busiest access periods of the day. Staffing should reflect the peaks rather than only average traffic.
Overnight operation
Define patrol routes, communication expectations, welfare checks, and procedures for unusual activity during low-management hours.
Reporting
The daily report should tell management what the officer actually did, what exceptions occurred, and what follow-up is required.
